  • Download RegData 2.2 here. RegData 2.2 includes restriction counts, word counts, regulator attribution, and industry classification at the 2-, 3-, and 4-digit level from 1975 to 2014. RegData 2.2 also contains the authorizing statutes for each part of the CFR from 1980 to 2014. The unfiltered dataset, which contains additional industries with less reliable classification scores, can be downloaded here. See the README file for details.Summary extracts containing annual series for restrictions and word counts can be downloaded by 2-digit industry here, by 3-digit industry here, by 4-digit industry here, or by agency here. An extract employing a modified industry classification for use with BEA data can be downloaded here.

RegData 2.1 also contains the authorizing statutes for each part of the CFR from 1980–2013. Unlike previous versions, RegData 2.1 uses machine learning algorithms to classify restrictions to industries.
